Alluvial Green Sapphire Natural Crystals measure approximately 5x4mm for the smallest to 17x10mm for the largest, the gems have a deeply saturated green hue with a slight grey tone, the natural shape of the hexagonal crystal is intact on most stones, the gems were not cut from the parent crystal but were worn away through natural process and ended up in alluvial deposits near a water stream, the Sapphires are opaque in transparency, and the gem bodies have natural crystal features that are wonders of the geological world in terms of their hexagonal shape and alluvial formation.
